My Scrapbooking History

I began scrapbooking about 4 years ago with a group of women who I view as real pro's! Their pages were just beautiful and I was so proud when I pasted with a glue stick a few pictures onto a page, added a couple of stickers and thougth I had created a masterpiece! Then I realized how much more to scrapbooking there was to learn! Over the years I have added many new techniques to my collection of scrapbooking necessities. My favorite technique is using my Cricut Expression machine! Anything is possible with a Cricut and a few cartridges. I am always looking for new cartridges and have found the best buys at Cricutmachine.com and Ebay.com. I check out what is new on the Cricut website then start my bargain searches! I have made many scrapbooks for friends and enjoy designing pages with new themes in each book. I hope you will join my blog and enjoy some of my work!

Hip to be Square Challenge #51

Morning Friends and Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!  It is a beautiful day here in Middle Tennessee and I thought it was perfect to open my windows, enjoy some fresh breezes and make my cards for the challenges that I follow each week.  Hope you all are enjoying your day as much as I am!

The first challenge I worked on today was for the Fantabulous Cricut Blogspot.  Their theme this week was Hip to be Square which required making a square cad using green and gold as your main colors.  I used Paper Studio card stock green for my card, Paper Studio Every Seasons polka dot Easter paper for my first layer.  I next cut out a rectangle in gold paper and embossed with my Cuttlebug branches and birds.  Added green grossgrain ribbon.  Next came my cute sunshine sticker.  I cut out on my Cricut an oval, stamped thank you and then faux stitched around it with a black marker.
